Baked Ditalini with fontina

Adapted from: Week of Menus

This is the most incredibly satisfying pasta dish I have made in a very long time. It had all the perfect ingredients and perfect pasta tricks one would ever want going for it. A perfect lean protein like chicken sausage, great sauce, creamy cheese, basil and a cute pasta to tie it all together. It has such a wonderful balance that perfect I had to watch myself with portions it was that good.

Start by chopping one onion and 6 cloves of garlic. Add that to a pan with 1 tbs of olive oil. Then add in 4 chicken sausage links with the casings removed as you see below.

Then begin to boil your pasta. Ditalini is delightful pasta. It is 100 times more satisfying that elbows. Having this dish with Ditalini makes it child like and fun.

Then add 2 cans of crushed tomatoes that are each 28 ounces a piece.

Then throw in your cooked pasta.

Add in a handful of shredded fontina.

Then add it all to a baking dish. Add some slices of shredded fontina on top.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes until the cheese is all melted and delicious.

Add some fresh basil on top and get ready to devour the best pasta dish ever !!

Enjoy !!!
