almond cookies

During the holiday season I usually bake a lot like most folks do, but it is more for gifts that for my own home. When it comes to cooking I love to bake although I do not like to bake for my own home being that its just my husband and I. So frequently, we will either eat to much which doesn't happen that much anymore or the stuff will go bad. I thoroughly enjoy baking for others. It brings joy to those people and I can still create wonderful masterpieces.

These almond cookies are so easy and incredibly satisfying.

Add 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour and 1/4 tsp of salt into a bowl. Then cut 1 cup of butter into the flour until it becomes totally incorporated. The butter must be completely soft otherwise it will not work.

Then add in 2/3 cup of almond meal and 1 cup of powdered sugar. Mix it all together until it is completely incorporated. Roll it into balls place then roll it through the 1/3 cup of sugar and place on baking sheets covered with parchment and bake at 350 for 12 minutes until they are golden brown.

Remove from the pans and let cool on a rack for 15 minutes or so.

Top them with more powdered sugar. Package them up and get ready to make a friend.
