Ellie Krieger's crab cakes with spicy cream sauce

This recipe came from Ellie Krieger. A wonderful healthful cook on the food network.

I love making crab cakes from scratch instead of getting them out some where. It makes for a slightly more expensive meal for dinner than normal, but you have to treat yourself every once in awhile right? It is delicious and nutritious when you do it yourself and its a nice treat while we all are trying to hang onto the last bits of summer we have left.

You start by putting one green bell pepper, one jalapeno pepper minced, and 2 scallions with the green and white parts into a fry pan until they become soft.

Then add in 1 tbs of grated ginger and 2 tbs of minced garlic and saute until fragrant.

Then put 1 lb crab meat into a bowl with 1 tsp lime zest, 2 tbs of lime juice, 2 tbs of dried cilantro, 1 egg beaten, 1/2 cup of panko, 1 tbs of mayo, and some shakes of salt. Then mix thoroughly with a fork.

Then form into crab cakes and roll in some panko bread crumbs. Cook in an oven at 425 degrees until they are toasty brown all over. It should take about 10 minutes on each side.

Then mix your spicy cream sauce together with 1/3 cup of greek yogurt, 1 tbs of spicy garlic sauce (such as sriracha), and 2 tbs of mayo, with salt and pepper. Whisk together and top each of your crab cakes with about a tablespoon.

Enjoy !!! They are delicious !!!
